About MeI am a freelance photographer living in Black Earth, Wisconsin.
I took my first photography class in 1977 and I have been in love with photography ever since. My repertoire includes portraits, head shots, pet portraits, landscapes, events, sports, candid, fine-art and abstract photography. As you brouse through some of my photos, you will see that most of my photography is shot on location. This gives the photos a genuine look and feel. If you prefer a more traditional portrait, my lights and backgrouds are portable. this way you can have that studio look and feel without leaving home or the office. It all depends on what it is that you want to portray. I earned my degree in photography from Ventura College (VC). While there, I became aquainted with new techniques and learned how to be more efficient with photographic software such as Photoshop and Portrait Pro. My work has been displayed in the VC Art Gallery and Bell Arts Factory in Ventura. I have recieved awards for my landscape photography two years in a row. At the Ventura County Fair in 2016 I won First Place for a photo I had taken at the ballet in Havana, Cuba. In 2017 I received a 1st Place ribbon for best Family/Group photo, a 3rd Place ribbon for a photo of a car fire that I had witnessed and an Honorable Mention for a photo that was in the Creative Process category. I'm a US Navy veteran. While attending Ventura College, I volunteered to take the portraits of the Active Duty and Veteran students at the Veterans Resource Center, which they proudly display on their walls. |
